The Work
Dr. Ulie’s work has always lived in the in-between spaces. Between systems and people. Between intention and impact. Between what we say we value and what we actually build.
She is a social entrepreneur, writer, speaker, and creative whose work spans mental health, education, leadership, and systems redesign. But more than any role, she is someone who pays attention to how systems behave when humans are under stress and who is willing to name what happens when they fail.
Her work is grounded in the belief that people deserve more than survival. They deserve systems that make thriving possible.
Over the last two decades, Jennifer has become a trusted voice and award-winning expert on building sustainable personal and organizational systems. She has been a teacher, professor, social entrepreneur and Executive Director, legislative advocate, school board member, and legal expert witness.
She has founded, launched, and led countless stakeholder groups, coalitions, conferences, programs, and online courses. Having presented to tens of thousands of professionals, she is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and trainer for her engagement, humor, and ability to inspire and challenge audiences. She sits on multiple regional and national advisory boards and has been featured on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, NPR, and PBS.
The Path
The Why
Jen knows firsthand what it means to navigate systems that weren't built for the people they claim to serve. As a parent, educator, and advocate, she has seen how systems can simultaneously promise support and deliver harm.
She understands what it costs to fight for a child, to rebuild after trauma, and to keep showing up when the infrastructure fails.
This work isn't theoretical for her. It's personal, urgent, and born from both professional expertise and lived experience navigating the same broken systems she helps to redesign.

Hey There...
I have always been a builder.
I build ideas into action, questions into frameworks, and vision into something people can actually use. I am drawn to complexity, to leadership under pressure, and to the work of helping individuals and systems get unstuck so they can move toward the outcomes they want.
Mental health and neurodiversity are part of my story, but they are not the entirety of it. They inform how I see systems, how I lead, and how I train others to lead. They sharpen my ability to notice misalignment, to recognize when people are being asked to function inside structures that do not support them, and to redesign from the inside out.
I speak openly about my mental health because silence isolates people and honesty creates connection. Normalizing these conversations is not separate from leadership or entrepreneurship. It is foundational to it. People do not leave their nervous systems, identities, or lived experiences at the door when they enter organizations or institutions.
I am deeply passionate about social justice and the intersection of mental health, neurodiversity, power, and access. I believe systems shape outcomes far more than individual willpower, and that leaders have both the opportunity and the responsibility to design environments where people can succeed without breaking themselves in the process.
I also love the work of helping leaders grow. Of mentoring. Of training people to think differently, lead more effectively, and build things that last. I am energized by strategy, by clarity, by translating complexity into action, and by watching people realize they are capable of more than they were told.
In 2020, Covid collided with a series of traumatic events that forced me to stop and tend to my own survival. That season changed me. It stripped away what no longer fit and clarified what matters most. I did not lose my drive to build. I refined it.
I am returning to this work with more intention, more discernment, and more resolve than ever. I am writing, speaking, training leaders, and working with systems ready to be honest about what is not working and brave enough to do something different.
I believe people deserve to thrive.
I believe systems can be redesigned.
I believe creativity and strategy belong together.
And I believe the work of building something better is never wasted.
Thank you for being here.
